Q: What is the IT Executive Symposium?

A: The IT Executive Symposium at Cisco Live 2008 will bring together 100 senior technology executives for an intensive three-day educational program designed to help them develop and hone business and strategy skills. Instructors and discussion leaders will include admired thought leaders from universities and the corporate world.

Q: Who should attend this conference?

A: Participation in this new leadership symposium is by invitation only and is limited to the CIOs, deputy CIOs, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, General Managers of MIS, and other senior technology decision makers who are interested in expanding their value to the corporation.

Q: Where and when is the IT Executive Symposium being held?

A: It will be held at The Peabody Orlando in Orlando, Florida, beginning the evening of June 23 through June 25, with optional attendance at Cisco Live 2008 on June 26.

Q: Why is attendance at the conference by invitation only?

A: Part of the value of this type of executive educational program is the dialogue with and direct access to Cisco, corporate and academic leaders. To preserve the value of the program we are limiting attendance to 100 total attendees who meet the job level/function, company size, and annual revenue qualifications established. Q: Can I send a colleague in my place if I cannot attend?

A: If you cannot attend the conference, please contact our registration team at executiverelations@ciscolive2008.com or call 866-737-3297 to cancel your registration. You may send a colleague in your place, if your colleague is qualified. To seek qualification, please write to executiverelations@ciscolive2008.com or call 866-737-3297 with the name, title, and job function of the person you would like to send in your place. When confirmed, your qualified colleague will be required to submit a registration form.

Q: How much does it cost to attend the IT Executive Symposium?

A: The fee is US$2395.

Q: Does this fee include access to Cisco Live 2008?

A: Yes, IT Executive Symposium attendees will have full and complete access to Cisco Live, including preferred seating at John Chambers' keynote on Tuesday, June 24. IT Executive Symposium attendees must pre-register for any Cisco Live technical sessions they are interested in attending.

Q: When does registration open for the IT Executive Symposium?

A: Registration for the IT Executive Symposium opens February 27 on the Cisco Live Website at http://www.cisco-live.com/attendees/ites/. Inquiries can be directed to our registration team at executiverelations@ciscolive2008.com or call 866-737-3297.

Q: Will I receive confirmation of my conference registration?

A: Conference attendance is by invitation only. If you register in response to an invitation, you will receive an e-mail confirmation of your conference registration within seven business days. If you do not receive an e-mail confirmation within seven business days, please contact the registration team at executiverelations@ciscolive2008.com or call 866-737-3297. If you registered without an invitation, your registration will be reviewed and a response sent within three business days. A second and final e-mail confirmation will be sent to you five days before the conference. This confirmation will include your hotel accommodation information (if you requested hotel accommodations) and other relevant information to assist you with your final travel plans.

Q: Whom do I contact if I miss the registration deadline and still want to register?

A: To register after the registration deadline, please call the registration team at 866-737-3297 and you will be placed on a waiting list. We will make every effort to accommodate as many attendees as possible.

Q: What if I need to change the sessions I signed up for?

A: You will be able to modify your session and tour schedule online at the registration Website or on site at the conference.

Q: Will the general sessions and strategy breakout sessions be available for viewing online if I cannot attend the conference?

A: No, these will not be available online. Hard copies of the materials will available onsite.

Q: What should I wear to the IT Executive Symposium?

A: Business casual attire is appropriate for meetings. You may want to bring a light jacket or sweater for the evening receptions and activities.

Q: Do I need to wear my badge during the whole conference?

A: Yes, please wear your conference badge to all group functions and meetings so that you can be readily identified as an attendee of the IT Executive Symposium. You will not be admitted to the sessions or activities without this identification. Every possible precaution is being taken to help ensure a safe and secure working environment at the conference. For that reason, we will be asking for photo identification at registration before releasing a conference badge. You will need to wear your badge during the entire event.

Q: Can I bring a guest to the conference?

A: The IT Executive Symposium is a business event; guests are not permitted to attend conference functions. A guest pass is available to attend the Cisco Live Customer Appreciation Event for a fee of $295. Passes can be purchased at the Cisco Live registration counter at the Orange County Convention Center.

Q: Will I have easy access to the Internet during the conference?

A: Yes, Cisco will host a wireless infrastructure for the entire conference. Remember to bring your wireless card.

Q: Will I have easy access to my voice mail and e-mail during the conference?

A: You are encouraged to access voice mail and e-mail from your hotel room during breaks and non-conference hours, because we do not want you to miss out on any part of this important event.

Q: What are the passport/visa requirements?

A: Please indicate on the registration form whether you will need visa support. When you register, our team will help you with the paperwork. Each country has different requirements. We suggest that you contact your local consulate or embassy to inquire whether a passport or visa is required for your travel.

A: We will make accommodations for any special dietary needs you may have. Please indicate how we can assist on your registration form.

A: Orlando average temperatures in June are 80°F-90°F (27°C-32°C) high and 70°F (21°C) low. Though days are usually sunny, June also experiences rain during this time of the year.
